The Henry Lawson Society of NSW Inc is a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to honouring the works of Henry Lawson and promoting literary achievement in Australia. The Henry Lawson Centre, Gulgong

National Poet, Henry Lawson. The museum presents a wide range of
photos, oil paintings and prints, first edition books, manuscripts and
other memorabilia. Annual Literary AwardsAward Ceremonies - June Long WeekendThe Henry Lawson Society of NSW Inc Literary Awards are presented in
honour of Henry Lawson, the well known Australian bush poet and short
story writer who grew up in the Gulgong area. Sections include the
Essential Energy Leonard Teale Memorial Performance Poetry Competition,
the Essential Energy Emerging Performance Poets Competition, The Land
Short Story Award, The Land Written Poetry Award, the Visit Mudgee
Region Emerging Writers Award and two student sections - Primary School
Years 3-6* and Secondary School Years 7-10*. The award ceremonies are held over the June long weekend as a part of Gulgong's Henry Lawson Festival celebrations. |
