ESSENTIAL ENERGY LEONARD TEALE MEMORIAL Performance Poetry CompetitionFinalists are chosen from recorded entries with finalists performing before a panel of judges at the Annual Henry Lawson Society Literary Dinner at the Prince of Wales Opera House on 9th June 2012. Performance time of 8 minutes. Performances must be memorised for final judging. Primary School Years 3-6*Poem or Short Story (to a maximum of 1,000 words) Open theme. Placegetters receive cash prizes or book awards. Highly Commended and Commended certificates are awarded at judge's discretion. All entrants receive a Certificate of Participation and a copy of the judge's report. (*NSW, or other state equivalent) Secondary School Years 7-10*Poem or Short Story (to a maximum of 1,000 words) Open theme. First Prize $100 and plaque. Placegetters receive cash prizes or book awards. Highly Commended & Commended certificates are awarded at judge's discretion.
